"I often like to transform furniture by combining mixed materials, or changing a finish from what would have been characteristic of its original design period. This piece reimagines a great, chunky, 1970s faceted Lucite coffee table that I found in London with a beautiful, formal book and butt-matched mahogany veneer tabletop, set into the bold, clear base. For purists, the table is also available with a glass top to create a floating, transparent effect." -Thomas O'Brien

Airy wrought iron and woven cane create the mixed materials for a set of side and nesting tables, an etagere, and a console. The form is based on a longtime favorite set of small stacking iron tables with classic cane weaving that I've had for many years. Both the etagere and console have added rails so that they can be used easily as a bar table or shelf.
