The special Marengo secretary, based on a most favorite, exquisite 19th century Danish secretary from our Library House. I reinterpreted the form in a very beautiful, particularly rustic bamboo that somehow makes it more romantic and exotic. Named for the famous, elegant Arabian horse that was Napoleon's own favorite.

The Marlee drop-front Chest features dental molding, fluted pilasters, tapered legs and a antiqued sage green exterior rubbed through in just the right areas to simulate a time worn antique. Behind the locking drop front is an interior finished in a crisp linen paint with over 15 small drawers and a small door. Three large storage drawers trimmed with ornate and painted ring pulls round out the storage on the base. Perfect as a small desk, or as a hall chest.
